Established in 1896, Horndale Distillery & Wine Cellars is one of the oldest working vineyards/wineries in the Adelaide region, located in the southern Adelaide suburb of Happy Valley in South Australia.
Horndale Cellar Door has a fine selection of Red, White, Sparkling and Fortified wines. With many medal winners in our stable you are sure to find a wine for that special occasion, or even 1 or 2 to put away.
The cellar door is open for tasting and
sales 7 days a week. Adjoining the cellar door is the old Number One Spirit
Store, which has been converted to a function room and restaurant. The
restaurant is only open Friday nights, and bookings are essential.
Do you like your Fortified wines? In
addition to the range of bottled wines we have a range of Ports, Sherries
and Muscat available in bulk, with a 2 litre minimum purchase. With winter
coming, and it could be a cold one, now is the time to stock up on your
Ports and Muscats.
Another popular item with both local and
interstate visitors is the range of GENUINE OAK BARRELS, which is the
ideal way to store your Port. Not only will it allow you to keep your
stocks up, but you can mix and blend to your own taste. Add some Muscat,
a touch of Brandy, let it mature a bit and top up your sipper directly
from your own keg. All kegs are fully seasoned, ranging in sizes from
5 litres to 20 litres
